About Beth

B. Turner Headshot.jpg

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has worked in the public sector treating people with substance use and co-occurring disorders for many years. I also have experience working for a non-profit agency utilizing equine therapy with my patients. As a person in long term substance use recovery, I believe in “giving back” so that others can rediscover their inner peace, connection to self and others, and develop healthier relationships.

I believe YOU already have the answers and that my role as a therapist is to utilize various therapeutic tools to guide you to discover not only the root of your issue(s) but the key to overcoming them.

I love virtual therapy because it allows you to share with me while in a safe and comfortable space. I am informal and laid back with a sense of humor about life. We will laugh! I will always be honest with you as I believe that movement and growth happen when you are in the “stretch zone” – slightly uncomfortable and exploring inner discrepancies. Rarely are we motivated for change when we are comfortable. Scheduling a free consultation is the first, hardest and bravest step you will take to improve your well-being.

I work with all populations and am non-judgmental. I believe everyone deserves to be at ease in their own skin, being their authentic self. Whether you are going through a life change, have anxiety or depression, have a substance use concern or a family member using substances about whom you are concerned, are trying to process trauma, change patterns learned from a dysfunctional childhood environment or other barriers to harmony in you life, I am eager to help you embark on this journey to explore and guide you towards living a more satisfying life.

Self-pay and several insurances accepted for residents of South Carolina.

Superbills can be provided for reimbursement if you would like to utilize your out-of-network benefits.
